This time, we travel to the picturesque glacial lake Fjallsárlón, located just a few minutes from the famous Jökulsárlón lagoon. Although smaller and more intimate, it is just as breathtaking — and the Fjallsjökull glacier feels almost within arm’s reach.
In the summer season, the raw beauty of this place is defined by monumental ice walls, the soft crackling of breaking ice sheets, and majestic icebergs drifting across the calm surface of the lake. In winter, however, the ice-covered and snow-dusted floes create an atmosphere of an untouched, austere wilderness.
During the next stop on our journey through Iceland, our guide and model, Agnieszka Narkiewicz-Czuryło, tested AQUA SPEED gear in conditions tough enough to challenge even the most seasoned adventure seekers.
